Bus Boy / Bus girl

Scope and general purpose 

The bus boy under the guidance of the Waiter according to  policies and procedures, will carry out his duties based on the following fundamentals: -
Project a high image for the Hotel through the quality of service offered within all Food and Beverage 
Main Duties.
      
Assure achievement of daily planning through list of activities given by superiors.

     
In charge of all menial tasks, assist waiters in all basic duties.

       
Must be clean, tidy, groomed and honest at all time.

   
Take out dirty trays to the dish washing area and return with clean equipment to re-fill buffets and side stations.

       
Attend pre-meal briefings, listen carefully to instructions given by superiors concerning today’s achievement in the service.

       
Follow the sequence of work during set-up time and service time.

       
Inform superior on maintenance requests immediately after noticing the damage.

      
Issue more requisitions according to superior’s instructions taking great care of it.
Request discipline in all premises.

Receive training and focus carefully on various elements and tasks taught on a daily basis.

Set up table and displays for each meals, re-setting tables after guest’s departure quickly as possible.

Inform superior if Housekeeping-cleaning plans have not been properly followed.

Report immediately to his supervisor any misunderstanding, problem or accident with a guest of the staff.

Suggest opportunities to improve the service and report accordingly.

Abide By Environmental Rules And Regulation.

The ultimate objective of the Waiter / Waitress is the achievement of total customer satisfaction.

A key responsibility for the Waiter / Waitress is to establish and maintain good relationship with subordinates and fellow employees.
