How to Serve Turkish coffee
Turkish Coffee Must be always served with
Glass of water With two drops of Rose Water The coffee order is taken
immediately after serving desert. The order is handed over to the person
assigned to prepare coffee.
Step 1
When taking the coffee order, the
following points are to be taken into account:
1.
A simple chart is drawn to
facilitate serving the coffee in a proper and orderly fashion.
2.
Is the coffee: Black, fair
or blonde
3.
With foam
4.
Without foam (well cooked)
5.
Amount of Sugar required:
6.
No sugar
7.
Little sugar
8.
Medium
9.
Sweet
Step 2
Before serving the coffee, the
waiter must be certain of the following:
1.
Coffee cups are clean and
not chipped off.
2.
Coffee saucers are clean
and in a good condition
3.
In case there is more than
one coffee order, the waiter must distinguish the contents of each coffee pot
with regards to the way the coffee is cooked and the amount of sugar required.
4.
The cooper plated Turkish
coffee pot to be clean and shiny
Rose water preparation
Step 3
Turkish Coffee pots and cups are
brought on a clean round tray. The tray is then put on the Service Station and
coffee is poured into the cups. The guest is approached from the right side.
The captain serves the coffee using his right hand.
Step 4
In a clockwise manner, ladies are
served first followed by the remaining guests. The host is served last.
Step 5
After serving the coffee, the
waiter returns all coffeepots to the dish washing section to be washed and
stored to be used later.
