How to light a guest cigarette

Following a request from a guest or when you see a guest proceeding to light a cigarette. Follow this proceed

1. Approach the table from the right hand side with you’re matches or lighter.

Note. The matches should only be Sheraton matches or a Sheraton Lighter.

2. Should you be using matches the packet should be held in your left hand and the match should be in your right hand. You should strike the match onto the packet with your right hand moving away from the guest

Note. If you are using a lighter, hold the lighter in your right hand and move the flame to the guest. Cover the flame with your left hand.

3. Once the match is lit move your hand over to the guest covering the flame with your left hand. Make sure that you move the match or lighter up to the guest cigarette.

4. Hold the flame up to the cigarette until the cigarette is lit. Then move the flame away from the guest and gently blow the flame out or remove the lighter.

Never leave the spend match or packet in the guest ashtray always take it with you
